Here's what we were working with - an overgrown, patchy front bed with weeds taking over the planting areas, bare soil around the palms, and a curved planting bed out back that had basically given up. The bones were there. Good palms, decent pavers, a solid home. It just needed someone to pull it all together.

We cleared everything out and started fresh. Shell rock went in around the front of the house and under the palms - clean, white, and easy to maintain. No more weeding every other week. No more bare dirt patches after it rains. The rock installation gives the whole front yard a finished look that actually holds up over time.

Out back, that curved planting bed got a complete reset too. We pulled the old overgrowth, laid shell rock to fill it in, and set flagstone pieces to create a natural-looking walkway right through the space. A few simple plantings went in to add some life without adding a maintenance headache.

What makes this kind of work worth doing is what you stop dealing with afterward. No more mud. No weeds creeping back every week. The lawn care side stays easier too - clean bed edges and rock-covered areas mean less trimming and less mess every time the lawn gets cut. It all works together.

Low-maintenance landscaping does not have to look plain. This yard is proof of that. The right materials - shell rock, flagstone, a couple of well-placed plants - can make a home feel polished and put-together without turning into a weekend project every time it rains.
